AbiPro have 2 kind of production system: Standard cost and Assembling.
This two system are almost the same, you have to create the material usage formula for each finish product. The computer will count the material usage base on the formula.
The idea of standard costing is: Each finish product must formulated by its material, according to this formula, we can count the budget of every order. Each usage of material, we have to input the order number, the material usage and material budgeted for this order became the Variance report.
Enter production formula in STANDARD COST FORMULA. Before entering formula, the material code and finish goods stock code must exist in the inventory module.
Enter Batch production order system in PRODUCTION ORDER. This order instruct the production department to produce the sum quantity of a finish goods, requirement of materials will calculate base on the standard cost formula.
Enter MATERIAL USAGE (MATERIAL/GOODS OUT TO PRODUCTION) in the inventory module. Every material usage must refer to the PRODUCTION ORDER number.
Enter FINISH GOODS receipt (GOODS RECEIPT FROM PRODUCTION) in the inventory module. Every finish goods must refer to the production order number.
Printing of MATERIAL VARIANCE ANALYSIS and other production report. Material variance report used to control the material usage efficiency.
Your can transfer the last STANDARD COST to inventory master file with TRANSFER LAST FINISH GOODS STANDARD COST TO INVENTORY MASTER FILE.
A simple manufacturing system call ASSEMBLING include in the inventory module. ASSEMBLING PROCESS create finish product (add directly to stock) from material formulated (deduct directly from stock).
DISASSEMBLING PROCESS derive material from the finish product (deduct finish goods and add material).
1. Enter formula in ASSEMBLING FORMULA, the parts or material to product finish goods.
2. Run ASSEMBLING PROCESS, this process create transaction started with M at:
Stock in at GOODS RECEIPT FROM PRODUCTION for the finish goods.
Stock out at PRODUCTION USAGE for parts or material.
Two kind of quantity can be choose to process as:
FOR NEGATIVE BALANCE , only process the finish goods that the quantity balance on hand already negative, and the unit processed are the same as the negative unit, the ending balance of the finish product will be 0 again.
FINISH GOODS QUANTITY, you determine your unit to produce.
The cost value of finish product has two alternatives below:
Cost in Master file, finish goods transaction value base on cost in Inventory Mater file.
Recalculate on material cost, this calculate the last weighted average material cost, this value only appear in GOODS RECEIPT FROM PRODUCTION transaction.
Recalculate on material cost and change the finish product cost in Master file.

1. Run DISASSEMBLING PROCESS, this process create transaction started with E at:
Stock in at GOODS RECEIPT FROM PRODUCTION for the parts or material derived.
Stock out at PRODUCTION USAGE for finish goods disassembled.
2. Print report.
